"What a ride this year has been… from anxiously working around the clock to rise to meet amazing exhibition opportunities, feeling grateful for sudden exposure, humbled by little successes to my personal life suddenly taking a turn and crashing down. Momentarily there it became hard to even look at my work, I didn’t seem to have the capacity to celebrate my growth or even keep up my momentum. This year stripped me down but in turn gave me the opportunity to consciously curate my new reality, with my arts practice being my anchor and family and friends, old and new propping me up. "
